Mascom was the first mobile network operator in Botswana to launch Mobile Internet. With the roll out of 3G and 3.5G coverage over the Greater Gaborone area, Mascom is now one of a select number of mobile network operators in Sub-Saharan Africa to introduce an HSDPA network. 3G bridges the gap between the wireless world and the computing/Internet world.

What is 3G

Third generation (3G) is the generic term used for the third generation of mobile communications systems. These have been developed in response to growing demands in network capacity, rates required for high speed data transfer and multimedia applications.
