Mascom Sponsors the 7^th International Working Group (IWG) on Women and Sports World Conference

With less than 10 days to the 7^th International Working Group (IWG) on Women and Sports World Conference. Momentum has picked up and are proud to be revealed as a sponsor of the upcoming conference to be held at the Gaborone International Convention Centre from Thursday 17^th May, 2018.

And speaking at the event, the Co – Chairperson and also Permanent secretary at the Ministry of Health, Ms. Ruth Maphorisa said that the conference came about as part of the realisation of the IWG legacy which includes Africa as a beneficiary of the effort to engage and empower women in sports. Mrs Maphorisa noted that, “this conference will give Botswana an opportunity to exchange ideas on bettering systems in place for women in sports across the World, especially women in Africa.”

Also speaking at this event, His Worship the Mayor of the Gaborone City shared is opportune to be honouring women at such an international level and that for Botswana, this is a true indication that our country is a key player on the world stage.
